But fate was cruel, took him away, in their hearts, forever he stays. From pain and sorrow, Zacs Fund was born, to ease the suffering as others mourn. A story about the special boy behind Zacs Fund
In the heart of Wallingford, beneath the sky so vast and blue, Simon met Rachel, and their love was pure and true. As the years rolled by, dreams slowly came alive, in 2015 they married, together they would thrive.Talks of future children, laughter to fill the air, a longing deep within, for a life they'd love to share. Then came the faint pink line, their dream was now in sight, many years of happiness, the future looking bright.
Zac arrived with spring, on the ninth of May, a bundle of life, in their arms he lay. Cheeky grins and laughter, a spirit wild and free, Zac, the heart of their home, as happy as could be.Reeva joined the fold, a sister for Zac to love, their bond was instant, a gift from above. Contentment filled their days, a family seemed complete, each moment with their children, so wonderfully sweet.
But then, a twist of fate, a storm cloud in the sky, what seemed a minor illness, left them asking "why?" A rush to the hospital, urgent surgery in sight, Zac battled all he could, he would not give up this fight.A rare complication, a battle no one foresaw, despite the efforts of many, nature's final law. In a room filled with sorrow, where hope once did reside, Simon and Rachel were told, Zac wouldn't survive the tide.
With heavy hearts, they made a choice so brave, to fill his final moments with love, their souls to save. In his favourite pyjamas, stories whispered in the night, Zac passed away peacefully, a star in the sky so bright.In the wake of their sorrow, a community stood tall, offering comfort and support, helping them through it all. Simon and Rachel, with strength from Zac's love, decided to give back, to honour their son above.
Zacs Fund was born from a desire to aid, to support other families, so they're not afraid. A legacy of love, from a boy who lived with glee, ensuring his spirit lives on, for all the world to see.Thank you, Simon and Rachel, for sharing your tale of heart, Zac's story, though brief, plays an everlasting part.
